Voyager Kettle Update: Factory Testing

Good evening-
I hope everyone has had a great start to their New Year and I am excited to share our first update of the year!
We appreciate everyone's continued patience as we work towards bringing you Voyager Kettle. We completed our most recent prototype at the end of December and Platform 88's prototyping team completed their initial review.
The review has gone great and they shipped the prototype last week to the factory engineers to do a round of rigorous testing at the site where we will manufacture the final product.
Below are pictures of the prototype followed by a few notes on the remaining tweaks needed:
There are a few aesthetic updates we want to make as we move to finalize the design. These changes will be able to be made simultaneously while we do the necessary testing on this prototype. These changes include:
-Matching the metal ring that secures the silicone to the base with the black plastic for a better visual
-Minimizing the interface depth and minimizing the depth of the temperature dial
The factory engineers expect to finish this round of testing by early next week. This will allow them to provide an updated timeline on any remaining testing needed, tooling, and manufacturing. We will provide a follow-up brief update once we have this updated information.

Voyager Kettle: Quick Update

Good morning backers-
I wanted to provide a brief update on our progress to date with Platform 88 as we work towards fulfilling all of your pledges.
We have made good progress on final prototyping measures over the last few weeks. We estimated having the prototype completed at the end of November. We are a bit delayed but are getting close to finalizing this step. The final prototype is on track to be completed by mid December. We will provide additional photos of the completed prototype at that time!
We are still tracking and working towards the overall timeline we communicated on the last update with the expectation of completing tooling & testing around the end of January 2021.

Quick Voyager Kettle Update!

Good morning backers-
I wanted to provide a brief update as we continue to work with our manufacturing partner, Platform 88 on completing Voyager Kettle!
The engineering team has been working on final mechanical and electrical updates and is on track to complete all updates this week. This will allow us to move into the final prototype stage. I have included the remaining steps below with target dates. We are currently still tracking to May 2021 delivery.
Remaining Steps & Timeline:
- Final Prototype -> November 2020
- Tooling & Testing -> January 2021
- Packaging Development -> February 2021
- Pilot Production -> March 2021
- Mass Production -> April-May 2021
*Target Delivery Date: May 2021

Good afternoon-
I hope all is well. I wanted to provide an update now that we have selected our new manufacturing partner. We are moving forward with a company called Platform 88.
We have begun working with them on the first step of creating a final prototype and will then move into manufacturing steps. I have included the initial estimated timeline provided by Platform 88 in order to share the manufacturing date we are working towards.

Voyager Kettle: Quick Update

Good morning-
I wanted to provide a quick update as we move into our next stage of sourcing and manufacturing. As mentioned on our last update, we had received the updated prototype and our previous design partner was finalizing the manufacturing package. We received this package about 10 days ago and have sent all the files to the 3 potential manufacturing partners we are considering.
These potential partners are reviewing all files in order to provide any final recommendations, unit costing, and final timelines. We will evaluate these proposals shortly and will be able to provide an updated and complete timeline for delivery at that time.
Again, thank you very much for your patience as we work towards fulfilling your pledges. We are excited about delivering the Voyager Kettle to all of you!
